Okay, I know there's probably not much point doing this as they don't appear for sale very often, but I'm after an RG2027X VV, either with the flame maple front or without, I don't mind. I'm also not too worried about condition as I want to play it, not look at it. I just really want to try the piezos - I think it'll really fatten up the sound of our band!
Anyway, if anyone's got one they don't want, let me know, Cheers, Rich |

Some notes about this -
1. You're not the only one. I'd love a second 2027... even a third! 2. The RG2027 does NOT come with a flame top. You're probably thinking of the MUCH rarer RG7-CST, and there were under 30 of those made (16 to 24, or so I've heard). Good luck getting your hands on one of those (although 2 of our members that I know of have 1). 3. Piezos will not necessarily 'fatten' up your sound. They make your electric have a nearly identical sound to an acoustic with a pickup. That's it. But, that's the deal maker for me, since I gotta have piezo. So, it could make your band sound much more versatile, I suppose, but not "fatter". I doubt people who have one around here would part with one, but for the right money I suppose anything is possible. Back to our threaad. ![]()

I know it's a long shot, but I thought it was worth a try lol
I want to put the piezos through the desk and just have a bit of them going through the PA, then have the normal pickups through my amp - I think it will fatten the sound a bit, similar to alot of metal bands that use acoustics to double heavy distorted riffs when recording (you don't hear the acoustic, but it adds a surprising amount of balls to the sound). I used to be in a function band and I used a guitar synth very quietly all the time (through the PA) doubling the guitar just to fill the sound out, and I'm thinking that this would work in a similar way. Just an idea really (we're a f**king loud rock band so we don't really need a fatter sound lol but I can't stop experimenting). |

Hey, Bob. You can give me your 2027XVV. I've always wanted a guitar with piezos. And I just love the way that guitar looks. Plays pretty dang good, too.
Let me e-mail you the mailing information so that you can get that guitar to me as soon as possible. ![]() |

Do you own a RG7321, 7421 or 7621? you can install some piezo's from graphtech, they have a ghost piezo system you need to get the saddles, preamp, mini on/off toggle and a volume knob for the piezo. Refer to this link for install.
