It's nostalgia really. I can understand their point of view. I ....ing love that chunky nu-metal tone (you know that) but that's what I grew up with (in addition to the amazing grunge band tones like AIC).
But that doesn't mean I have to agree
That said, while not very gainy or saturated, I did enjoy the tone on A Matter of Life and Death. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg was a pretty cool song
