Home for misfit riffs

I have dozens of riffs and song ideas that I've carried with me for years. Some are cool, some rock, and I deem them all true. However I get to that magic point where it all falls right off of a cliff and the idea reaches the point of

I keep thinking I'll pick them up and finish them, so I pick one up and I try key changes or whatever and nothing fits. So, like the Isle of Misfit Toys, I'm psychologically leaving them here where they can live in unfinished bliss, and I can use the room for new ideas.

If you have such baggage, I invite you to dump it here. Perhaps they will find their soul mates and return to us in the form of inspiration from other ideas.

And no, I haven't been drinking.

I hear you. I have some in my head from the late 80's. Actually after I came up with them a few bands used them in their albums. It happened like 3 times. I come up with something and like a year later, someone has it on their album. I know they didn't hear it or anything, it's kinda cool though. Admitedly it hasn't happened in many years though. I like to think that's cause new music sux.
