Help me with an idea for writing song lyrics

Alright, so I'm starting to get disillusioned with lyrical content lately. Lots of bands nowadays don't even rhyme their words anymore. Which really gets my goat. But there is one thing that's caught my attention lately that I'm thinking of trying, just to see if it'd work. Here's the premise - Listening to Into Eternity's "Buried In Oblivion", it seems to me like their lyrics aren't necessarily coherent or attached, or telling a story (even though it's supposed to, I know). But rather it sounds to me like they just took a shitload of really kick-ass phrases and put them together and made a song out of them. (WTF is an 'impassible screaming'?)

I'm not trying to get into a discussion here about lyrical writing styles though... what I want to do is see how many 'kick ass phrases' we can come up with and see if they can be linked together to make a song out of them. So if you guys can think of something really cool, metal, etc. (but not 'your favorite line form your favorite band'). Just try to say something that sounds really fucking cool. Just make something random up off the top of your head. Like take two things that kick ass and say them.

(And if this ends up working and being really cool and I can make it work for a song with my band, I'll totally give credit to where credit is due)

I'll try to start it off:

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

i cant think of anything badass to follow that. But i call that the "Judas Priest Method" of song writing. Everything they did after Killing Machine had that style of lyrics. Sometimes it can actually work really well.

See, I have the opposite problem - I suppose it's far more true of poppier stuff, but a lot of the time I listen to a set of lyrics where it sounds like the lyrics are dictated by a rhyme scheme, and they're just stringing words together that rhyme that don't necessarily SAY anything.

I'd rather listen to a band that uses nonstandard phrases, the occasional internal rhyme or slant rhyme, and just let the melody carry the song (not even necessarily a repeated melody at that, jus strong melodic phrasing) than listen to a band churn out perfect rhymes measure after measure that don't tell you anything.

I guess I'm saying I'd rather have profound lyrics that read like a haiku than perfect verse that sacrifices meaning to rhyme scheme.

"...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon."
