I'm with you, Jerich, I always felt Jake packed Zakk's lunch. He such a better guitarist, and I liked his hyperactive riffing so much better than Zakk's chunk-chunk-squeal style.

I've always prefered Jake E. Lee over Zakk Wylde too. Nice guitar you have there, Jerich. I'll have to look around for his solo cd, thanks for the heads up

Yup. Jake > Zakk in my book, too. Although I like Zakk's stuff just the same.

Ozzy can say all he wants about Jake being hard to work with, but I attribute anything that man says directly to the substance abuse problems he has had. The drunk/stoned/smacked/zooted/tweeked guys ALWAYS say it was the other guy that was hard to get along with. However, I don't remember any Ozzy concerts getting canceled because Jake was to gone to play.

It was nice to finally see Ozzy give Jake E. Lee a complement in an article I have, most of what I have read in the past in magazines is that he could not get Jake to agree with him when writing songs or anything, all Jake would do is shrug his shoulders and they never talked to eachother even when they were living together in California....strange. Finally, in an article, Ozzy said, Jake was wonderful and a real gifted player. I think most of it coul've been what Ozzy was going through with alcohol and substance abuse.

I suspect it was mostly a case of two strong personalities rubbing each other the wrong way. If Ozzy had been sober and Jake had had more creative control, who knows what might have been...
