I respect Yngwie for two reasons - the fact that he was incredibly groundbreaking, and his ungodly vibrato.

While most of the criticism leveled at him these days is still perhaps best directed at his immitators, it still doesn't change the fact he's basically played the same solo for the last 20 years. :/

I always thought when players refered to other players playing as wanking I though it meant that they were playing random notes,......but the things you learn. sorry for the confusion.

The first video he's just having fun with it and not worrying about hypercritics or the perfect guitar vision for this particular song. Yes the man likes to solo, Its what makes him happy. Let him be happy all he wants to be IMO. lol
