The new Pearl Jam album fucking sucks.
They're playing the shit out of it up here. The cover of Rolling Stone says it's their "Best album in ten years".
It sucks. The songs are boring, Vedder's voice is unintelligible, the songwriting is bland as hell and all in all it just sucks, sucks, sucks. I liked Vedder better before he became Neil Young's bitch, but what the fuck happened to Stone Gossard and Mike Mcready? Hell, ALL of Pearl Jam used to be good players who wrote some really killer stuff. Now it's all just rehashed, boring, sloppy nonsense.  |

Rolling Stone gave it a great review. This coupled with the fact that the lead single blows was enough to kill all curiosity I had for the rest of the album.

The followup single is 100% worse than the lead single. Every magazine I read is talking it up like no tomorrow, saying that it's a throwback to their old stuff. I find it just as boring and uninspired as the last 3 albums of rubbish they've put out.

Ten was a great CD. I love the music that came out in the 1990-1993 era. Every other release of theirs is nowhere near as good as Ten IMO.

They were the "right" band at the "right" time...
They burned out creatively after Ten and VS.... Two and done... just like so many other bands. I guess I can sell all my Flannel Shirts on eBay, because Grunge won't be making a comeback. |

"ten" was a great record, even though at the time (as now) I was much more into metal...we did a Jeremy cover for our senior high talent show in 1994...vocals were not up to par
