If You Play Guitar.....

...then I want to ask a small favor.

A friend of ours has recently been diagnosed with a very serious illness. I say "ours", because he's been a major factor in getting 7's and other cool guitars out to the masses for a long time now.

Paul S. from Hoshino USA (aka Ibanez) is the guy we're talking about and he was diagnosed with a type of Leukemia a few weeks ago. Even though he occasionally wears a suit and tie, he's one of the good guys in the guitar world.

He's attended a few Jemfest events, and even jumped up on stage at one! Paul has ALWAYS helped us out with cool stuff to raffle off, and coordinating all that with the Vai camp.

I spoke with him last weekend, and though he sounded a bit tired he told me he has a great crew helping him through this. Chemo is no party, for anyone.

I wanted to ask my online guitar buds if they could send their choice of well wishes to Paul in the hopes that it helps him out. I'm going to post this on a bunch of forums and get him links so he can check the threads.

So, feel free to post your positive thoughts, prayers, or whatever you choose.

Sure man. It always sucks to hear when people get such kind of diseases. i hope he can fight on and my thoughts are with him and his family.

If you have anything to do with 7s being available to the masses today, you're an enormous part in taking modern music several steps forward. My way of looking at a guitar wouldn't be the same without you, I feel the need to thank you wholeheartedly.

UPDATE!!!

I got an email from Paul today stating that things are improving nicely and he's finally leaving the hospital and heading home on Saturday!

Looks like whatever you guys and gals did....worked!
