The Official "The Glass Prison" Appreciation Thread

I listen to this song, at least twice a day, and it's a long ass song. I have been since I think, December... yeah... it definately deserves an appreciation thread.

Yeah this song is awesome...they played it at my student bar not long ago, they didn't play the whole thing ofcourse because its epic, but as long as they played the solo in the intro I was always going to be happy.

More words here is more words.

For me, the last minute and a half is the best. BUT, you kind of need to hear the first 12 minutes to get the feel for the last bit. One of the only songs where I LOVE the lyrics.

Scary obsessions.
Wonderful song, but scary.

I like "The Glass Prison" a lot better than either of the followups on the next two albums. TGP has a lot of interesting stuff going on, but then the entire first disc of "Six Degrees" does, really. They played around with sounds a lot on that album, but I think they've kind of blanded out a bit since then.

Whirrrr.
See, I'd get completely distracted if I tried to work out with Dream Theater in the background. My brain turns on and my body turns off.
