Cd of theme covers

i was thinking about just making a cd of covers of tv/cartoon and game theme songs or songs that were in tv/cartoon/games. would this be a cool idea? if i were to sell them it'd be just the price of the cd and shipping so i'd make no profit.

also the reason for this is that i havnet really been inspired to make any music nor do i have anything fully done for myself but i do enjoy recording little short tv/cartoon/game songs/themes.

try to write your own music.

it's hard tracking people down for credit on themes.

nothing beats originals.

i thought it'd be a good promotional tool, but look at me now.

if you want to do it, go ahead, but don't take it seriously.

edit: anyone who says 'stop playing altogether' is asking for me to come to their home and slap them.

As for the cd, for amusement it's cool, but I wouldn't put too much work into it.

The Transformers theme song by Lion off the movie is pretty badass, lol, a more "metal" version of that would be sick.

When Gundam Wing went on Cartoon Network, they aired the opening credits with an instrumental shred version of the theme. It was flipping awesome!
