does bass guitar count?

In the beggining there was nothing. God said, 'Let there be light!' And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better.

The weird and non-complicated-yet-totally-badass textural noises Korn used to make back in the day on their first four albums.

My favorite local band, Simoom (leonardo7's band.)

"it's like 'woah whats that?' then 'oh its just my dick dont worry'." Empyrean in chat.

"The guy's an asshole. It's pretty well know in musical circles that he's just an idiot. But I would love to jam with him. I remember him sending me a letter saying "Dear Joe, it's nice to know that someone is not copying my style" signed Yngwie J Malmsteen." - Joe Satriani

ONE LOVE FOR CHI!

i like the sound of smacking the whammy bar while doing some kind of melody. A Good example of this is Andy LaRoque on King Diamond's "Arrival" solo (2:37 in the song).

Since the Bible and the church are obviously mistaken in telling us
where we came from, how can we trust them to tell us where we are going?

Blind faith is an ironic gift to return to the Creator of human intelligence

jonathan_addams will become famous soon enough
The distorted wah-ey riffs Zakk Wylde played on Ozzy's "No More Tears". I don't think a single guitar phrase ever had the same effect on me. I can remember exactly the first time I heard it and nearly falling off my seat.

Also, the guitar solo's from Skynrd's "Free Bird" and The Eagles "Hotel California".

Oh, and the opening of "South of Heaven" - simple and perfect.
