Saw King Diamond yesterday!

Man oh man, what a show!!

That guy has such a great stage presence and Andy kicked ass on the guitar.

The opening bands were quite horrible power metal acts. The other guitar player of the latter band played a 7-string (LTD SC-607) though, but it wasn't enough to save the super-duper-cheesy power metal. But the King made up for torture we had to endure

The gig started out with men in capes bringing fences to the stage while this horror soundtrack was playing, and then da King came with a puppet, which he stabbed with a knife

A true horror-metal opera I must say.

There was even a woman which acted in some of the songs, dressed according to the songs theme.

The King had a sore throat, of which he was very sorry about, but it didn't bother anybody. The singing was still good.

They ended the gig with Mercyful Fate's Evil. The place went insane.

Great gig, nuff said!!

I must admit I feel sorry for the dude who was carried out before the gig because he started puking blood!!

I'm concerned that you're calling stuff cheesy but loving King Diamond LOL.

Just kidding dude, sounds like an awesome show... I love Diamond!

Sounds like a cool show otherwise. I'd love to see the King live.

KD is beyond cheesy, but his music is still a guilty pleasure for me. His newest live CD is one of the funniest things I own. 1/2 awesome metal, 1/2 hilarity.

Cool! There's an interview w/him explaining the concept of the Puppet Master on youtube. Dude, you got to see a great show. Ha! Yeah, that LaRoque guy isn't too bad, is he?

I loved his Caparison's too. Especially the one he used on the MF cover. A black one with a cool blood finish.

King Diamnond is beyond cheesyness

The fact that those power metal guys were so super serious about their stuff made it so goddamn cheesy and funny. King Diamond has that tongue-in-cheek kind of vibe to it

I am guessing that the guy who was puking blood was suffering from an alcohol poisoning, because he was really, I mean REALLY drunk.
That'll teach him to smoke pot rather than drink alcohol

King Diamond is an Institution if you will He is a an Icon in the metal world.and Mike Weed has even been known to play 7 string Schecters once in a while..How cool is that! The girl who goes on tour with King as Grandma and Various parts in the live show was in my bands Video too Jodi she rocks.....King Diamond is a great preformer.....
