What's your favorite non-guitar song?

Mine's the theme from the Sopranos.

haha, not at ALL surprised.

Tough question, and I gotta give it up to the Chroma Key debut, but if I had to choose just one song...

This is borderline, as there's some mandolin in the background, but there's this old celtic song that I have recorded by a band called Silly Wizard, a tune called "Fhear A Bhata (The Boatman)" that's just perfect - the melody has that sort of timeless air to of it of something like greensleeves, and the lyrics (what of them are in english, anyway) are beautiful.

When I finally sit down to cut a proper debut CD, I'm going to do an instrumental cover of this one, and if anyone wants to hear the original, my roommate and i finally decided to get home net access, so I'll be wired up in a week or so and can pass it around then.

There's some guitar in it, but I'm going to have to go with Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald anyway.

The first Chroma Key album is great! I guess I would need to second that pick.
Drew, do you have the new one? Wow, he completely changed his style on this one.... Can't say it's grown on me yet.

"Graveyard Mountain Home"?

It's not really an "everyday listening" sort of album, but yeah, I do. It's got it's moments, though - basically, as sort of a textural background sort of album everything but "Human Love" is great (the vocieover on that one just creeps me out), and as a "song" based album, "Again Today," "True and Lost," and "Sad, Sad Movie" are all pretty cool cuts... and I'm not sure how to classify it, but "Come In, Over" f'in rocks, whatever it is... Awesome buildup to that one.

But yeah, I'm a bit of a Chroma Key fan... How are you on OSI?

Yeah, that one. Maybe I need to give it a few more listens before I judge it. I don't know, after the first one it's tough to really top it as far as my opinion goes.

I like the OSI stuff... I'm a big fan of both Fates and DT so it's a cool combination of talent. I'm hoping they can get together again to do another one. I think I read somewhere that may actually happen....

Did you like the John Arch cd that came out last year or is that not your cup of tea?
