Ebay counterfeit strike back!

Lastnight I took sometime to report quite a few of the ebay fakes we're all so very sick of. Today it paid off! I log into my ebay account earlier this morning and right next to my feedback it says "No longer a registered user". I email ebay tech support and question them about it. This after noon my account is officially blocked for "Multiple false reports of counterfeit merchandise". Ahh gotta love thos filthy fucking assholes at ebay for protecting their wallets. I deem them all....fucking losers.

Wow, that sucks! It just goes to show that you only get punished for trying to do a good deed. Ebay has some serious issues, but I don't think any of the alternatives (Amazon, Yahoo auctions, etc.) are as populated enough to be any good.

One day, they may take things far enough to be boycotted, but it's unlikely. I've really only had bad experiences with eBay, but nothing terrible. It's just been made clear over and over that eBay doesn't want any responsibility over the auctions they oversee, they just want the cash.

What items did you report, anyway?

Oh yeah! One of the fake K7's made it to the US, I reported it too.

Edit: But yeah, all of them were fakes. I made sure of that.

that sucks majorly. dude, you did a good thing. as soon as you get your account back, do itagain. they need to realise that the stuff you are reporting is crap, and its fake, and that it only hurts buyers that reallly dont know what they are getting. i vote that all members report a few fake 7 strings... maybe someone will learn

Dude, the relayy sucks about your account, and I'm sorry that happened to you....

HOWEVER....

I'm wondering if the reason they suspended your account is because they have no way to distinguish you from, say, that seller's competitor?

I hate the fakes as much as you do, but I wonder if a better solution is to actually get Ibanez involved, surely they must have a rep or someone who can go to Ebay, flash a badge....and make them nervous.

'Course then if Ibanez doesn't respond then the question becomes, "Well if they don't care, why should I"? After all, we can tell the difference, right?

Just my 2 cents.
