8 hours a day for 10 months? I don't think thats particularly amazing but its certainly pretty darn good - I was more impressed with the Ģ5k Korg Oasys he was using to be honest
While raping a bear in Yellowstone and snorting coke out of a freshly-dead baby's skull, I finally felt that I had found my calling and built a time machine out of Iraqi WMDs and LOTS OF HEMP WHOA. Using this time machine I went back in time and shot JFK from outer ....ing space. I am now your god - Jeff .....and then all of a sudden he drops the musical equivilant of a steaming turd right in our laps - ESP Griffyn |

maybe im just arrogant but I think thats totally possible in 10 months. Once you get the basics down for things such as proper fingerings moving up and down every mode/scale, and basic chord shapes (drop2/4 and 1735 voicings and all that crap), its not that bad. Also, I feel that doing covers of songs, its easy to learn covers in short periods of time, what takes years to do is your own songwriting/really good improvising IMO.
Of course he probably had some knowledge of music theory before hand, probably played another instrument.. plus that keyboard is so ....in awesome sounding/looking, i would probably even learn all the DT solos on it o-O |

interesting...
He didn't play anything THAT fast. If you ask me, one of the main things that makes a guitarist amazing is their ability to keep things clean and keep control the instrument. So newbies will often make lots of string noise etc. That doesn't apply to keyboards so its easier for a newbie to sound clean and interesting and great. Seems plausable he could have done that in 10 months. |

Ever noticed how some people are real dicks on the internet, but when they post something involving their band, they make the effort to be nice? Funny that... |

I've seen this guy before. He's good but I personally found this guy to be better at Dream Theater stuff. He seems to have it down very solid.
