Dio "We Rock" DVD

This is really good. I just got it. There are two sets. One is in Holland w/ Stand Up and Shout,
Straight Through the Heart,
Shame on the Night,
Children of the Sea,
Holy Diver,
Rainbow in the Dark
and Don't Talk to Strangers.

The other is taped/filmed in Philadelphia w/ Don't Talk to Strangers, Mystery,
Egypt/H and H/Last in Line,
Rainbow in the Dark,
Mob Rules
and We Rock.

There's also a long interview w/RJD. But the best part is that Vivian Campbell is shredding all the way through both shows. That guy was fast! Holy mackerel!

I am eagerly awaiting the Dio/sabbath box set

There were rumours going around the Dio was supposed to rejoin sabbath for ozzfest - but Wendy posted on the website that it simply wasnt true...

Now if we could just get rid of Candace Maybe he can work with Blackmore again

Ronnie *is* working with Iommi to create two new songs for the Sabbath w/Dio boxed set, and that's where the rumor started. I don't even know if Butler and Ward are going to participate, so it might just be a Dio/Iommi thing. Whatever the case, it's really cool and I'm looking forward to the boxed set, since those albums are all classics and deserve a proper remastering.

As for a Rainbow reunion w/Dio, they were talking about it a few years ago, but Ritchie backed out. He's apparently quite happy strumming along behind Candace's vocals. Now that Cozy Powell is dead, there's no chance of a true Rainbow reunion, anyway.

I'll have to pick up that DVD... it just occured to me that Dio is one of the few artists I intended to see live that I haven't yet... maybe I'll luck out and he'll tour the US in 2006.

Looks like I'll be adding something else to my buy list... I absolutely love the Sabbath albums with Dio on them so the box set will be a must-have.

I know Cozy was an awesome drummer My replacement pick would be Scott Rockenfield of Ryche - Very similar style

Still I am hoping that it may still happen

After the dio box set they need to do a latter day box set
Seventh Star and Eternal Idol are both awesome

In any case, a Dio + Black Sabbath Reunion would rock since Black Sabbath's best CDs are with Dio IMO (I'm probably the only person in the world who likes Dehumanizer lol...)
