Asian youth put american youth to shame

Seriously. They are so dedicated learning stuff, and they get really good at it. Us over here, we want something for little or nothing. ![]() |

over here, we have something called "social skills." people who spend all their time with their books don't have much of that
![]() * Leon , in a rare move, stands up for his lazy fellow Americans.
I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

Considering how overweight the average american is, I think we have more of a problem getting out of the house/car than people in asian countries.

Actually, I disagree with that. You never see any amazing famous prodigy guitarists from Japan, Korea, China, or Taiwan (although I thought Hide from X Japan was a pretty awesome guitarist). I can't speak for other Asian countries, but most Japanese guitarists can't play guitar very well. They also, like Americans, want the skill for nothing. I know several people who can play guitar at a very limited level.
Genres like metal and progressive rock/instrumental rock are not very popular over here, so you don't see many people who aspire to play that well. They have no need for it. I have met several very good Japanese guitarists (the lead guitarist for the band I'll probably be joining can play the lead for every single Metallica and Megadeth song), but the majority of the ones I've met have been average, below average, or horrible (sometimes because they'd only been playing for 1 year or they'd been playing for 7 years but never actually played their guitar). The guy in that video is very good, but he is hardly representative of "Asian youth." |
