Well, not really. I didn't admire him. CoF was all about the music to me, I really couldn't stand the vocals most of the time. I really kept hoping Dani would be kicked out of the band.

Dani is a twat. However I have to confess that I made a total prick of myself when I met him many years ago when I was young and nieve. I walked into a service station, saw Dani coming out of McDonald's about 5 feet in front of me, stopped, pointed at him and shouted "Holy shit you're Dani Filth!". Not my finest hour. Yes, lots of parents with children looked at me disapprovingly for shouting obsceneties, but Dani did actually talk to me for about 5 minutes. Surprising given my actions. Then he disappeared out to the bus to eat his food.

Yes, I am mortified by my stupidity to this day.

Not so much strange as more that i've played the songs so many times, that it isn't that much fun to listen to them, although some would still be fun to play, but once you've played something close to a thousand times or something ridiculous, you kind of lose the will to listen to it

The other thing, is that part of the whole CoF thing is a bit tongue in cheek And after having had one or two sessions having a Jam with gian, it is pretty obvious to me where cof's sound dissapeared (him, stuart and paul ryan basically) and why i just don't enjoy the new stuff as much as the old.

Not too hard to be honest, practice till you don't have to look at the fretboard, warm up the neck muscles, find something to get pissed off about 9generally not hard) combine it with a fear of audiences early on when i starrted playing live (back when i was 18) and discovering that headbanging = not seeing audience and then you've got the picture.

it looks good, so it has to be done! That and it's metal. The only crap thing was that it's really hard to run around in new rocks, hence the lack of mobility....

All well and good in theory, but I've tried it and I always fuck up. I have a big case of stage fright that I'm working on. It's getting better, but it'll still be interesting getting back on stage after nearly a year off it.

Fair enough man. I know he doesn't write much of the music, I just think his voice has such a wide range that hes an instrument in and of itself, which adds a lot ot the songs. You won't get that from most screaming/growling bands.

On a side note, on the "Heavy Left Handed DVD", it occured to me that Les Pauls and 5150s don't sound nearly as cool together as one would think. I thought Paul's tone was a lot cooler. I don't know what amp he was using, just know he had that pretty orange PRS.

All I can say is - James, your windmill headbanging in that video was the shit! I can only seem to work myself up to that after some serious drinking, and man, do I regret it the next day. Ugh, the neck!
