Oh yeah! I've been a huge fan for years. I missed them the last time they came through(Seattle).

They're coming here next month too, if I can afford it I might go. I've actually never listened to them beyond checking out their myspace page (I know, shameful).

i saw these guys in concert with Fishbone. they were really awesome, but they followed Fishbone. not to dog King's X, but Fishbone puts on a WAY more high energy show, and i, along with seemingly everyone else in the crowd, was so totally worn out from Fishbone, that we all kinda just stood there while King's X played.

they still rocked, but should probably have played first.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

Oh yeah, awesome fucking band! I've been a King's X fan for a long time, and it is a shame they don't get more credit for their contribution to what became grunge.

My last band opened up for them on this tour. I'll agree that it was a bad pairing, since Fishbone has an insane stage presence. However, it was all worth it at the end of the night when they had this big, hour long, cross band jam. The club had to cut off alcohol sales at 1:30am, but the bands kept going until 2:30. Great show.

I've always been a fan of King's X, that should be a great show. I'd like to catch them live, a friend of mine says they're unreal live.

They are quite amazing live, but not in an active, running all over the place sort of way. More in a, "damn, where do they come up with this stuff?" and "how the hell do they sound this huge with three people?" sort of way.

I could spend the rest of my life watching Ty play guitar. He absolutely does not use fingerings and voicings you would expect.

I can't believe how old they are. Doug's over 50, Ty and Jerry are almost there, if not already. Gives me comfort knowing you can still kick ass and make relevant music even when you're "older" (as opposed to other bands of the same age, that keep rehashing the same old tired shit).
