Jemfest 2006 coming up soon!

http://www.jemfest.com/

the last time i went (2001), i had a blast. i met a ton of guitar players, got to oogle tons of awesome guitars and gear, and the performances were awesome as well. i can't wait to go this year! anyone else planning on going? all the information is on the website.

actually, the only reason why i joined Jemsite in the first place was to find a ride down to Orlando back in 2001. it was pretty much moot, since the guy who told me to sign up ended up giving me a ride anyways . but, i heard about THIS forum from Jemsite when Chris signed up there (and kept spamming the link in all his messages ). so, in a cause-and-effect sort of way, in addition to helping out a charity and the reasons stated above, Jemfest rocks!

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

I'd love to make it to one of those, but I doubt I'll be able to pull it off this year. :/

Wow. For a second there I thought I was on Victoria's Secret.com: so many people wearing panties.

It sure is a long way for most folks, but no one can top Fernando Parenta and his band.
They're coming back for their 3rd year.
FROM fucking ARGENTINA!!!

So, no whining about distance, ok?

We've got some cool new artists this year as well as some of the favorites. We'll be at the same hotel as last year, and hope to stick with these guys. They've been great.

Last year there was a STRONG () SS.org contingent. We hope to have the same this year. They kind of kept to themselves and spoke in low tones, but I think they had a good time. LOL If the SS.org members want their own set of tables, get in touch with me pre-show and we'll work it out.

I'll post more information here as I get it. We should have the artist line up done in the next week or so. Just waiting on some emails.

"Thank YOU, Jim Day!"

Yeah, but not as funny as the pic of Tremonti wearing his JF t-shirt in a PRS ad.

You don't need a JEM to go to Jemfest!
It's all about cool guitars, cool tunes, cool people and a cool charity to help out.
Yes- It's "Ibanez friendly", but it's not required that folks show up at the door with a JEM. Hell, I don't even own a JEM anymore.
Man, I sure do miss my JEM10.....

By the way, Admission is FREE!
We'll ask you at the door if you'd like to donate or get in on the raffles, but that's it. Kick back, enjoy the people and the tunes, talk to the artists, dig the gear on display (and on stage)...it's a great time, esp. if you're even slightly into guitar.

Leon- not much has changed since you were with us in 2001. Just better recording gear, better PA, better video, better webcast, larger room, nicer hotel closer to the attractions. Not much really. :-)
