Who said King Diamond was embarrasing? Damn, they are one of my all-time favorite bands.

Anyway, I listen to Dream Theater. That isn't too embarassing, but the fact that I have 19 cd's by them, and I get mad every time someone mentions their name in a negative light, I think it deserves a mention. I am a huge DT fanboy, after all.

Other than that, I only listen to progressive rock, progressive metal, and death metal. (And bits of other rock and metal genres.)

Well, I suppose Styx is sort of embarassing for me... I like them.

Though, it's worth noting I have to explain Opeth to people more often than her music, so perhaps we're looking at this in the wrong way.

I like some rave/trance/dance music. Stuff like Olive. I have a whole bunch of club music cds from like 1996-1998.

Also Ayumi Hamasaki, lots and lots of Ayu.

Though the guy playing guitar on her live DVD that I have is pretty fuckin' talented.

Of course, that leads into the Jpop. I have a bunch of that.

I don't really consider any of those embarassing though. I annoy my neighbors(who are nu-metal people) with some trance, followed by Morbid Angel marathons at very high volume(home stereo has ported 15's). Just have to do it during daylight to keep from being evicted.
