The tab book was from the guy who did the interveiw. It was a guitar world thing. In the interveiw the guy says he brought it.

![]() I'll be the lone voice of dissent. I like Kirk, I like his playing, and I have no problems with him, his attitude, or his music. James and definitely Lars I can see arguments against. But Kirk? He's a good guy, and a competent guitarist, even if he isn't super-shred-master. There. Now this thread is fair and balanced. ![]() |

i think you guys are just jealous that he's got a great gig
![]() * Leon is jealous of Kirk Hammet, because he can replace him, but can't, because his name isn't Kirk Hammet.

He just has never written anything interesting in 20+ years now. His solos are so formulaic and boring, the same scale everytime. I just hate the guy as a player. He may be nice, I wouldn't know. I just don't see how you can listen to players like Alexi from Bodom or Jeff Loomis and still be interested in Kirk's "King Nothing" riff and other assorted trash.

i ain't honestly don't see why u think he's shit?!! he's not great by any means. but saying he needs to learn how to play is just stupid lol. i have heard people that need to learn how to play. i know every1's over metallica, so am i but god i won't go saying kirk hammet needs to be tought how to play guitar. if you seriously know your a better guitar player and are doing better t han him than fair enough, but i don't have any room to say hammet needs guitar lessons!! lol

Sure, it pays well, but dealing with the biggest primadonnas in metal is not my cup of tea. If I wanted to deal with a diva I'd play for Mariah Carey or Ru Paul, not James and Lars. "Dude, you need to find the right fucking meds to be on, because you are the most unstable person I know." |

i'd personally moderate between Lars and James if it meant a chance to belt out some Puppets and AJFA riffs infront of thousands of people.

I honestly didn't think that the little intro solo sounds any worse than anything else he's done. Hell, if he played more like that, I might be slightly interested, but he doesn't. They need to go back to James writing and recording all the rhythm parts. Kirk can go back to fast pentatonics and Lars can go get some drum lessons from Joey Jordison and fuck himself. Is that sad, or what? |
