Need help from Ohioans

Dunno if that's the correct term for it or not. Blah.

Anyways, I need some help from those of you in the Ohio area. My lead guitarist Kevin is looking to ditch his 5150 and get a new high gain amp. We played a Bogner XTC and he really liked it, but then we heard sound clips of an Uberschall and was blown away. I need some info on Ohio area music stores, and I was wondering if any of you near Toledo knows of Peelers Music, or know of any shops down there that would have Bogners, ENGLs, Diezels, VHTs, etc. if you could scope the places out for me and tell me what they have in stock. We've got a bit of searching to do, so as much info as we can get our hands on would be great.

Thanks,
~Roger

i still need to get to Peeler's myself, but i've been to the GC (crap), this place called Durdel's (pretty awesome, but small), and Richard's (not bad). the neatest thing between them all was a pair of Rivera's at Richard's, and Durdel's had a pair of those MH's i think they're called... the fender 500w ss amp heads with matching cabs.

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

i just called up Peeler's, and the guy said that he knows a guy who's looking to get rid of a Mark IIC+ for about $2400. and apparently, it's bubinga

...and, he said that he can order a Bogner, but doesn't have any of them in stock. and interestingly enough, the reason why the GC in Toledo doesn't deal Mesa is due to Mesa's policy of keeping dealers spaced out. Peeler's was a Mesa distributor before GC even came to town . i'm intrigued myself by this place, so i may swing up there friday or this weekend.

That's not true. The GCs in Southfield, Canton, and Roseville are all Mesa dealers, but the one in Allen Park and Flint(or is it Lansing?) are not. This is because the stores are <1yr old. Toledo hasn't been around for a year has it?

GC is Mesa's biggest chain of distribution. They'd be retarded not to 'eventually' let the stores carry their gear. But those 'new' stores have to prove themselves to Mesa first.

The Toledo GC has been around for a little over 2 years. February of 2004 (I have a shirt with the date).

I haven't been in Peeler in years. Nice place, but way fucking expensive (always has been). I buy 99.9% of my gear online.

ahh, hmm. that's weird then. oh well. i'm with Bob, in that i buy all my gear online. but it'd be nice to have a big Mesa dealer nearby to try everything out. so, i do think a trip to Peeler's is in order soon.

I used to buy strings at Peeler. Now I get them at Ishibashi. The price isn't that much different... But, yeah, like Bob said, Peeler can be expensive. I never bought anything big there. I think the biggest thing I bought there was my beloved Vox classic wah-wah pedal, which I got for like $90 or so. I remember the amps there were veery expensive.

The Furious One is on a distinguished road
If you travel a little farther east to the Dayton area, there's a place called Hauer Music. Last time I was in there they were a Bogner dealer. If I have a chance I'll run down there on my next day off and see if they have anything.

Just for reference, we're not looking to find some place to BUY anything... just looking for places that have these high gain amps in stock to TRY.

Thanks everyone!
