I'm not sure if they redid it for the DVD or not, but afaik this is pretty damn well-done for a low budget offering.

(Not to mention one of the best TON tunes, regardless if it's been played to death or not)

They don't have any videos on the new DVD. Their old DVD from the 90's had this video - "After Dark". It is a pretty cool video, as all of their stuff is. That's known as the "Bootleg Christian Woman video". Their buddies from the band Life of Agony are the dorks running around in circles in it.

I agree, this is one of the better songs ever made IMO. They play it live on the new Type O DVD, it was quite moving and awesome.

It's almost too obvious to cover those songs. They have like 40 other songs I'd cover first

Some that come to mind include: Wolf Moon, Gravity, White Slavery, Anesthesia, Too Late (Frozen), In Praise of Bacchus, I Know You're Fucking Someone Else, All Hallow's Eve, Creepy Green Light, The Dream Is Dead, Red Water (Christmas Mourning), etc.

Bloody Kisses is of course amazing, I personally think October Rust is their finest work, followed by World Coming Down. I love all their albums.

Good luck covering anything off of October Rust. That's one of the best sounding, most lush and "full" albums I've ever heard.

It's in my top 5 alltime albums easily. I like their other albums a bunch, but OR is an absolute masterpiece. It's not even that heavy, it's just a gorgeous, artsy, incredibly well done piece of work as a whole.

I suggested to a friend of mine recently that we should form a Type O tribute band. He said that finding someone who can sing that low would be a problem.

My old vocalist could do it. He could nail the octave below my low B. He got Peter Steele comparisons all the time.

I couldn't agree more man. I've probably written 400 pages of praise for October Rust over the years. There's not enough adjectives available in the dictionary to properly describe it. It's definitely my all-time fav album. I do think it's one of the heaviest albums ever, on top of gorgeous/lush/etc. It's not like mosh pit heavy, just like "whoa goosebumps" heavy. The best.

That being said, I think one could cover Wolf Moon with some success. With stuff like Green Man, that's a lot more difficult.
