Type O Negative DVD

Type O Negative has been far and away my favorite band of all time for nearly a decade now. They are in my opinion the most unique band on the planet, and hold an extremely special place in my heart, and in the hearts of so many out there. The kind of stuff that takes years and years to fully comprehend and appreciate. The only band that has written songs so gorgeous that it's brought me to tears (from the music content not lyrically). Anyways....

They have a new DVD that came out yesterday entitled "Sympathy For the Devil", it's a show recorded in 1999 in Germany in front of 100,000 people - truley remarkable. Plus it has hilarious bits and commentary, plus a 3 song Santana medley as well.

I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who loves metal or AMAZING song-writing to check it out.

yea type o negative is a really cool band. like ya said very unique and creative. steele's voice is amazing and my ex girlfriend used to love bangin' with type o playing in the background. seriously....

Say what you want Jason, but "Bloody Kisses" is one of the greatest CDs to screw to. Chicks seriously get off on that.

Well, that's on the 1st pressing. Every pressing after doesn't have that one on there. If you happen to have the 1st pressing, just screw faster to that part!

I got the one where the two chicks are actually kissing on the cover. It doesn't have that song.

I used to have it on tape ('permanently borrowed' from a friend) with that song on it. I loved that song. It cracked me the hell up. Would remind me of that Eddie Murphy SNL skit where he does that in a reggae style. Funny shit.

I dig me some Type O. I'd should check out the DVD.

Don't get to excited about chicks liking to have it out with some Type O in the background. You know they are just thinking of Peter Steele during.

They're not goth at all actually. They make fun of goths. These are just four dicks from Brooklyn with a great sense of humor, and uncanny song-writing abilities. They don't really have any goth about them, other than many of their fans. The thing is you can find a neverending sea of goth chicks at any of their shows, but every guy I know who loves Type O (a lot) are just your regular guys. Incredible music defies silly stereotypes.

Bloody Kisses is great, but I think October Rust is their best (and my favorite all-time album). Honestly I've been listening to it for 10 years and I still discover new things all the time on that record, it's THAT lush, layered and gorgeous.

World Coming Down is another amazing album. Not immediately as accessible as the rest, but when it hits you IT HITS YOU. All their albums are perfect really.

Best band ever
