for all of the syl fans out there, the band is in rotation at ozzfest along with unearth. the rest of the lineup is super lame but here you go:

Main stage: Ozzy Osbourne, System Of A Down, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil and one mystery act.

Second stage: Black Label Society, Atreyu, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Norma Jean.

Second stage (rotating): Walls Of Jericho, The Red Chord, A Life Once Lost, Strapping Young Lad, All That Remains, Full Blown Chaos, Between The Buried And Me.

TOOL have announced the final track listing of their new album, "10,000 Days", due on May 2 via Volcano. The 77-minute, 11-song prog-metal odyssey, which is said to be "packed with plenty of eight minute-plus twisted riff-a-thons, odd-tempo polyrhythms and the band's trademark, eerie interludes" (according to Kerrang! magazine), is the follow-up to 2001's "Lateralus", which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 2.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Afterward, TOOL will spend the first portion of the summer playing the European festival circuit, with dates on tap through July 9 at Finland's Turku Festival.

Strapping Young Lad Begin Recording New Album
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD guitarist Jed Simon has issued the following update on the recording process for the group's follow-up to last year's "Alien":

"Got most everything done on drums [on Tuesday, March 7]... Gene [Hoglan] will amaze you, as usual, with some sick drumming! [On Wednesday, March 8] we finish up at the Armoury, check out their MySpace profile, and you can see where we do a lot of recording, a wonderful studio.

"[On Thursday, March 9] we move on to Profile Studio for the rest of the month for everything else...guitar, bass, vocals, keys...then mixing, which I'm not sure where yet, but will let you know! We are taking pictures and film and will have some stuff available to view soon...

"This album really is a stomper, looking forward to getting it on the road!!!"

STRAPPING YOUNG LAD have secured a second-stage slot at this year's Ozzfest, which is scheduled to kick off July 1 in San Francisco, California.

Shit, save End Theory for Sounds of the Underground tour.

These are the only bands I would even care to see. Considering most of them are rotaters on the 2nd stage. I'll pass.

Anyone else think this years line up is very weak compared to last years (there are some really good bands but overall it is weak)

It would be awesome if the surprise spot was TOOL though.
