Well the rock and roll hall of fame is like MTV to me, utter crap... I'm not surprised they turned them down 7 years in a row.

From what I heard Sabbath turned up, but didn't perform. Metallica performed some Sabbath songs instead.

As for the Sex Pistols, they faxed a letter basically telling RRHoF to get fucked and stating they wanted no part of it at all.

Tony Iommi is thee most underrated guitar player of all time...he has created the whole down trodden Idea...the tuned down dirge we like to call..dropped tuning...come on ,and still has a few fingers missing....the man has I C O N written all over him...the first time i met him and had a chance to say "HI" or "I am Huge fan of yours"...I practically Crapped Myself....he is one of three people i have met in my life that made me feel that way....

I don't know too many people underrating Tony. I think everyone who is into metal recognizes him as the father of metal guitar, and anyone who is not into metal doesn't fucking matter.

Black Sabbath is so much more than Ozzy and "the guys". What about the Dio era, that in my opinion blow the Ozzy years out of the water! Yeah it was heavy dark and evil when Ozzy was in front, but when Ozzy left or got the boot, they really started to focus on the music and it shows. And who remembers Ian Gillian or Tony Martin?
