I think he changed his name, no...and didn't he just get his fingers stuck in a lawn mower, now God wouldn't have anything to do with that, now would He!

Did anyone else ever see that commercial he did on VH1 where he's lookin' at the camera and says, "Hi, I'm Ronnie James Dio..." (and at this point he gives us the

and says...), "And I invented this."

I thought it was pretty funny and pretty badass, all at the same time.

His real name is Ronnie Padovana. However, if you're going to pick a stage name...

His house in Cortland has - or at least used to have - a pyramid in the back yard. He's a pretty interesting character all around.

BTW, in looking for the spelling, I ran across this. I might just have to pick it up...

Gene simmons 'Claims" to have invented the horns because on the cover of Lovegun his fingers are in a similar position (actually the cover is a painting...)

I'm surprised that Gene doesn't "claim" to have invented coffins since Kiss sells one.

No man makes more money off of less musical ability than Gene. I actually heard him complain once about guitar players like Vincent and Kulick (sp?), stating that he hated guitarists because they all want to play, and much prefered rockers instead. Whatever, Gene, you're just mad you can't keep up if the song has more than three chords.
