I gotta agree with this. All I've ever really listened to or had an interest in has been rock, metal, blues, classical, and a bit of bluegrass (I love to hear someone play the hell out of a banjo and I secretly pine to learn that someday). But I don't know a damn thing about jazz guitar. But I gotta say that watching this little video was just damn near inspiring. Makes me really wish I could sit down and play something like that. God knows the wife would enjoy hearing something like that a hell of a lot more than some of the stuff I currently try to play.

Most sevenstring jazz guitars cost about the same as a small house, so it's not suprising there isn't a big market for them. On top of that, it's still a cult instrument amongst jazzers, even more so than amongst rock guys.

I tried to backdoor that guitar, but he had a $2000 reserve and I wasn't going close to that high. He thought it was fair, but as everyone knows, an object is worth what you can get for it on eBay. They don't show up too often, that's for sure. It might even have stolen time from my 175

Also, the song in the video, "'Days of Wine and Roses" is a jazz standard, and absolutely every jazz player plays it. It was written by Henri Mancini for the movie of the same name.
