Been listening to the leak this morning. The songwriting and production remind me of "Promised Land", but it is a step in the right direction for the band.

After a TON of listens, I'm giving it a seven. It has definite moments that are fuckloads better than anything on the last 2-3 QR albums, but unfortunately does lean towards Tate Solo/Later QR stuff.
It's very, very good though, and I'm not disappointed. It's better than I expected by a long shot. |

so it doesn't suck? whew..... making a sequel album isn't a good idea IMO because it'll be directly compared to the first. and when i heard they were making mindcrime II i though "oh great... how bad is this gonna be?" but i'm relieved it's being taken better than the albums of the last few years.
