Rediscovering my love for guitar

Warning: Odd thread

So lately, I haven't been playing ANY guitar at all. I had my mediport removed 2nd weekend in January, which was on my right pectoral, which made my right arm weak for a while. Ontop of that, my 'practice' amp broke, and I had been waiting to replace the power switch on it for a long time. The 2:90 doesn't sound as good at low volumes as my SS poweramp. Great for live, not for basement. Well, 2 days ago I got the replacement switches, and fixed the amp. Yesterday I restrung my Epi ZW with GHS TNTs (10-52) instead of the Dean Markley 11-58's I had on there. Fired the rig up, and DAMN did I love it! I missed the sound of that poweramp. Man does it add a layer of thick and heavy. Now I just gotta build my stamina back up for playing.

Basically, the point I'm making is that with a shit job that won't let me have a social life, and no girlfriend... I'm damn glad playing guitar makes me happy!

It's alot of fun when you can "rediscover" something and have it be as cool as it originally was...congrats.

Keep running up the score on your scoreboard, too.

so i take it you passed on checking out a position at the new GuitarCenter right next to you?

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

I find that my fingers and my guitar can give me enough emotional support, and more, so I'd say that's a girlfriend

Well, not exactly. I've not passed on it yet. I just haven't applied for it yet.
(I noticed a few lumps under my arm pit this week. I had the same thing when I was going thru the chemo due to my deoderant. Most likely that's what this is. I see my doc on the 20th, so I'll bring it up. But this has made me realize that I cannot go 'without' healthcare for a long period of time... GC takes 6mos before you get it. So I gotta find something that'll get me healthcare sooner than that.... if at all possible)

7stringninja will become famous soon enough
About 3 years ago, I did a bit of rediscovering myself.

I have been playing consistantly since I was 7 years old (I am now 22). When I first started college, playing/practicing guitar was one of my lowest priorities, and with the deadly school + girlfriend combo, I had almost no time, and soon to be no desire, to play.

I think the music at the time might have had something to do with it as well. There wasn't a whole lot of stuff at the time that made me want to run home and start chugging. Somehow, I managed to get out of that rut, and now I come straight home from work everyday to practice licks til late hours of the night.............. oh yea, not to mention prowling SS.org for tidbits that might help.

**Just so you guys know. 99% of everything I type is while simultaneously holding my 7 **
