DEICIDE Live..

Havent been around as much recently, but i gotta tell ya'll bout this.. This past thursday i got to finally see Deicide live, with the new lineup, no less. The show was INSANE. The two opening bands blew.. they were both emo/hardcore bands covered with tattoos of stars and one of the guitar players looked like dave ghrol, if he were emo. They were both really sad. Then Deicide came on at about 10:15.. The new line up is POWERFUL. You can easily see why the opening bands arent famous and Deicide is. Its got Ralph Santolla(Iced Earth/Death) & Jack Owen(Cannibal Corpse) replacing the hoffman bros. . The most insane thing though was the crowd, it was like a Slayer show. All the people besides me in the front almost pulled the crowd barrier straight down and there was a pretty decent pit behind me. It was the first concert i've actually felt unsafe at, lol. I also managed to pick up the DVD which wont be officially released until march here. Also, got all my CDs signed by Glen Benton , and the DVD by Jack Owen (Since he's on it). Despite what a lot of people say,they're all really nice guys. They all stood around after the show and signed stuff for everyone. Definately one of my favorite concerts thus far.

BTW, Chris is right about the Digitech 21xx series. Jack Owen has a 2112 and it was BRUTAL. He used to play schecters but he had a dime tribute when i saw him, dunno if he still plays them;p

Awesome. I would love to see those guys live. One of my favorite death metal bands, along with Carcass and Morbid Angel. Glen sounds like the bastard child of an angry St. Bernard and an evil marine drill sergeant from a tunnel a mile below the surface of the earth. That's a good thing, BTW.

I'm hardly old. I'm only 21,chris. its hardly that. its the fact that there was practically a riot to the left of me ;p
And glen sounded awesome too. I cant wait to hear what the new album sounds like after hearing this.

Actually, the only kind of concerts I really enjoy are this kind.

I remember Pantera was VERY fucking frightening. *sigh* I miss the old days.

God, I remember this fat dude one time at a show. Smelled like a pile of old dog shit, mixed with the ball sweat of a drunken tranny whore. He was more hairier than Grizzly Adams fucking a goat, and was HUGE! Just swinging his arms about like a flailing metal puppet. I got my face smashed against his back trying to get into one of the most brutal pits I'd ever seen (which was a huge relief compared to being attached to that fat smelly fuck).

Metal is awesome.
