Have you ever been in a band that fell victim to a jealous girlfriend/wife?

you know, the whole yoko ono syndrome.

luckily its never been an issue for me, but i knew of a band where they had to turn down a pretty good tour slot opening for a bigger band for the sole reason that the drummers girlfriend wouldnt let him

i bet theres some good stories out there

Well, my band is on "extended hiatus" because our singer broke up with me at graduation... dunno if that really counts.

No, but the singer/guitarist from an old band I was in told me how she joined and all girls band and the drummer had an affair with the singer's husband and how their not an all girl band anymore because they had to hire a male drummer. I guess that's life, crazy shit happens and you just have to move on and keep going.

Once I had a girlfriend that was extremely jealous.
She made me quit the band I was on.
I guess I'll regret my decision until the day I die.

But I was loving her too intensely at that time.

Hmmmm....

1) One of my now ex-girlfriends turned religious on the week of my high school graduation. She said I'd have to quit the band & turn christian if we wanted to continue as a couple. I dumped her ass right there in the school parking lot. I should've shouted "Hail Satan!" just to make my point a bit clearer.

2) I had a couple of bands where some bandmates girlfriends or wives were either total cunts or said bandmates said "How high?" everytime they said jump. Pussies.

3) I married my singer in this band & she's still the most metal chick I know.

i'm still haven't read one post by you that counts as anything intelligent. jesus fuck.

also more on topic, any girl i date has met me generally through the body modification community or the metal community and realize that music comes before everything.

Exactly. My wife was a successful musician long before I met her. She understands that music requires a certain level of effort, determination & time away from other things. She lets me do my thing & I let her do her thing. In the end, it's music that binds us & it's that firm understanding we have.

Moral of the story....
Date/Marry someone who has the same common passion you do. Otherwise, get the fuck outta my way.
