Warrel Dane VS Black Light Burns (Battle of the Covers)
So, today I signed on to my MySpace to see that Black Light Burns uploaded a new cover of "Lucretia My Reflection". I checked it out and thought it was cool, but I really liked Warrel Dane's cover a whole lot better. I will have to admit, I still haven't listened to the original. But to those here, which you diggin' the most?
MySpace.com - Black Light Burns - City Of Poseurs, California - Rock / Pop / Electro - www.myspace.com/blacklightburns MySpace.com - Warrel Dane - Seattle, Washington - Metal / Gothic / Rock - www.myspace.com/warreldane ??? This isn't trying to pit them against each other, I love both artists, just seeing which is the forum favorite.
There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And it's filled with people who are filled with shit And the vermin of the world inhabit it But not for long ... |

I do not like either one more than the other. I prefer the style of Warrel Dane's version however I prefer the guitar and got into the vocal style on the Black Light Burns cover, they are both good in their own way.

Warrel's version is just so much more dynamic in both vocals and instrumentation to me. Warrel's version makes me want to sing along, BLB's version bores me. I enjoy both bands, but Warrel wins hands down to me.

Warrel Dane, hands down. His voice is much more versatile and I prefer his vocal timbre over the BLB's singer. I love how he sings the bass C in the verse, it really adds to a dark feel in the song.
