It's amazing. I heard a tiny King Diamond influence in there on Called by Fire. It's got a lot of little "progressive" things in there.

You'll not hear me complaining, though.

The new album seems less metal and more prog than the last one, so I think they compliment each other well. I also like that he's pretty much the only RG2228 player that doesn't djent, heh.

I have been a huge Emperor fan for years and years, and Ihsahn has been one of my biggest influences as a songwriter. Not that my stuff sounds anything like Emperor, but mainly how he makes the guitars interact together.

I was a bit dissapointed with the Adversary, maybe because his influences were very audible in it, and I am not the biggest King Diamond fan...

This album, however, seems a lot more Ihsahn'ish so to speak

I have only heard 3 songs so far, but they have all sounded great! I can't wait to get my filthy hands on it!

Same as above except I dl'ed it! Will be buying of course though. My only quib is I couldn't hear a low F# djent anywhere! After Prometheus I guess I'm kinda expecting 7 or even 8 string riffage from him more often, especially considering how good he was at it.
