Yamandu Costa 7 string Nylon!
Man this guy is stellar!!! His flame hand is quick and sweet! along with his fret hand lines ,he is incredible..and hey he is one of us -a 7 string player.

One of Brazil´s finest seven-string players.
He is always improvising and doing incredible stuff with it. The seven-string acoustic is common here for playing "Chorinho" which is one of the styles he plays more often. It has this walking bass vibe, it´s really nice. There´s a place here in São Paulo where some 80ish years-old guys play Choro in the street, every saturday, and there´s an old man playing an acoustic seven-string in an incredible way, I´ll try to take a picture of it someday. Unfortunately I never played a seven-string acoustic, they must be sweet... The interesting thing is that sometimes the tuning used in Choro is: C E A D G B E But Yamandu switches between drop A and standard B. |
