I think it's beautiful. Nobuo Uematsu is an amazing composer IMO.

Nobuo is an amazing composer, I have pretty much everything he has done...Those Who Fight/The People Fight (Advent Children version) is probably my favorite track of his.

I have the piano arrangements album of the FF7 soundtrack which a friend bought me, it is godly. FF7 holds so many memories

<----- would totally buy a lot of this guy's music if video game soundtracks weren't unusually expensive. Anybody got recommendations on what would be the best to check out? I don't own any FF games except VII and the last time i played X was like 4 or 5 years ago.

100% deffo the Advent Children soundtrack, it has reworked versions of his classics off FFVII, with some new material and alternative heavier versions of some tracks. His best work yet, IMO.

Well, the FFVII soundtrack is the only album I´ve bought with only midi music :P

Also the reunion tracks album for just 3 tracks played by the orchestra.

Is there any album with FF songs all played by orchestra?

Not all of them are (some are kind of heavy), but Advent Children as I previously mentioned has a few orchestrated versions of classic FF tracks such as Divinity I & II, a few solo piano performances etc.

Nobuo is basically god... Probably my biggest inspiration. All his melodies are just so wonderfully put together. They sound so familiar but they're still interesting. FFVIII is the shit music-wise.

Well, the Tour de Japon DVD is pretty neat. I'm not sure if there's a CD version or not, though. I'm fairly sure there are a few other CDs, but I can't really remember anything specific.

Maby check out The Black Mages
Their albums are selections of different sogn out of the FF serie. Might be a good starting point to determen where you might want to start looking.
