Madonna hate

My flatmate just turned to BBC 3 (UK) where Madonna is playing some gig somewhere, anyway, as he turned to that channel he said, "I bet that pisses you off".

He was referring to Madonna playing a stupidly expensive Gibson LP despite clearly having no skill and was obviously playing in drop d since using more than one finger was beyond her.

That did annoy me slightly, but it happens so often that it's not a big deal. However, after playing a song (think it was hung up or something) she played the beginning from "a new level"!
She played it fucking badly too, the thing that makes that riff cool is the progressively heavier palm muting, which she didn't do as she's useless and was even wearing a glove.

Fucking hate her.

Eh, so she can't play guitar

She is either a) one of the most creative songwriters alive, or b) one of the most intelligent selectors of songs and producers alive.

Hmm... I suppose c) all of the above is possible. Her music isn't my fave, but I can't deny the quality. Never heard anything crappy by her, or even mediocre. Always fantastically done.

And daaaamn is she hot!

It pisses me off on a personal level because she is bastardising another bands song to make herself look "rock & roll".
This is just another one of her image phases, she has been through loads over the years and this "rock chick" one is just another. Remember she had that "vogue" phase, then the faux-religious phase then the "trance" phase.

She clearly had no intention to respect Pantera, If she had actually learn at least the intro properly or even sang it I wouldn't have thought so much of it. It's bad enough when bands like avenged sevenfold do it.

She keeps reinventing herself because she is pandering to the airhead/fashion/"it" girls type of scene that includes that Hilton thing and various other people.
I really wish she'd just fuck off.

About the expensive guitar part, I too have gear that is above my playing, but I do put a lot of time and effort into playing and I really do keep trying to improve, so whilst my current skills do not match my gear, my ambition makes up for it. She clearly poses with a guitar as it is simply a fashion accessory to go with her latest phase.

I will admit, even though shes about to turn 50...She still looks damn good to me.

Sure she's clearly in good shape, but I don't find muscles and definition on a woman attractive.

haha i get what you're getting at. still, reinventing yourself is how you stay in the pop buisness for 20 years instead of 20 weeks. and yeah, she's probably one of the smartest musicians out there, even if she does popmusic and sucks at panterariffs
