Question About Opeth.
During the song "Masters Apprentice" (awesome song by the way) the lead guitar soloing at 5:25 till about 6:00 has no attack whatsoever. How is this done? Are they using a special pedal to do this? I suspect its a pitch shifter...thanks for your help guys!

it does have some slight attach on hammer-oned notes
im pretty sure its using an Ebow (hand held sustainer)
tis exactly the sound u can get from it

Yeah it's an e-bow. Mikael's been known to use it on quite a few songs, like Closure.
