![]() | Opeth kicked major ass last night! I am still amazed at what I saw last night. Opeth absolutley rocked..... I dont think I have ever been so happy to see a band perform, I could have been kicked in the nutz and not cared a bit. The openers were also really good. The first band "3" was amazing, BTBAM were decent, Opeth ruled but for some reason dream theater didn't do much of anything for me, just seemed like a bunch of show offs that put no emotion into their music, they were still good and played really clean, and their sound was awsome, but I would have much rather seen opeth play for an extra 2 hours. ![]() |

![]() | masters apprentice baying of the hounds in my time of need wreath heir apperent drapery falls They did not get enough time on stage, I could have watched them all night long. And I will have to say the Paramount Theater was the coolest place I have ever seen a show at, and it fit the Opeth vibe perfectly. i had nothing against their performance, i just couldnt get into their music..... not sure why. But yes they did play very well. Maybe I just need to listen to them more. Last edited by 69dodgecharger; 05-04-2008 at 04:10 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Of course we all know how Petrucci is, with his 'like a rock' stance on stage. Not to take away from their performance, but they just don't seem to -- let go when they're playing. IIRC on the first US Ghost Reveries tour they rotated Demon of the Fall every other show with Blackwater Park as their closer. They played Demon when I saw them, but the next show they played BP, etc... So they could be doing something similar. In any language that you learn to speak -- love is twisted and defined as weak TheMissing's GAScon status: GAScon 4... I'm doing pretty good at the moment. ![]() |
