Play some Barry and you might get lucky. Play some Exodus or Soilwork and, well....probably not. Fun fact: I got to see Barry in concert, a couple years before he passed away. He was opening for Earth Wind & Fire, and that guy radiated suaveness beyond measure. |

That's totally how I see things. I hated titling the thread the way I did, as I knew it would spark the same usual, tired old debate from metal purists. All I was saying is I like heavy music (anyone who can't see that Nightwish, In Flames, and Soilwork are heavy music needs serious help) with a nice solid groove, and posted videos that actually included the audiences/bands themselves dancing. I usually associate "heavy" with "metal" for some reason so that's how we got to where we are.I even started the thread pointing out that I knew I'd get flamed ![]() On a lighter note, I just got back from Gigantour (ditched after Megadeth's first song, just couldn't stand it, it was just too lame and staged, and the sound was just too bad. Which is a shame, because Broderick's a great player with some amazing gear, but I could barely pick him out in the mix) which featured In Flames, yet interestingly enough, I actually saw a guy and girl grinding/dancing to Children of Bodom I would have been horrified at the fact that they were dancing all skanky to music like that, but she had large jiggly breasts and a low cut shirt that was working really hard to contain them, and I kind of lost my train of thought ![]() | |
