New NIN single! Discipline

New NIN single just popped outta nowhere lol. I love it. I am sure all NIN fans will. Its NIN, but, different, as you'd guess haha. It sounds like a cool mix of old and new, with a mad twist. Just listen too it!! very catchy, can't stop playing it.

nin.com [download]

NIN fans know the drill, put your email in, blah blah, and it posts you a link to download the single

Whoa, Reznor's really on a roll lately. Not really a fan of his music but I'm kinda glad that things are going so well for him right now.

I like it. I wonder if the similarity to Only from With Teeth is intentional?

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Trent posted this on nin.com a few days ago, claiming it was "leaked footage from live rehearsals. Don't worry, the real thing will be much tighter." May not necessarily be work safe, so proceed with caution.

I gotta say I loved the Broken/Downward Spiral/Fragile era. With teeth had it's moments (even if there weren't many), and while I tried to like Year Zero, it just didn't get much spin time from me.
I liked Ghosts, altough I only listened to it once, but Discipline is possibly the worst NIN song after 'Kinda I Want To'.

Still, I wish him all the best, I think he's trying to prove to himself that after failing to make Saul Williams a superstar (can't polish a turd), he still has what it takes to make a hit single.

Maybe in the future we'll get something like "burn" again.

having a listen now.

really, really ended up hating NIN over the past few years predominantly because of people around my over-hyping them (whereas i used to like stuff like further down the spiral).

i think i've realised that i can't stand his voice anymore. all the more with age it's becoming clear to me that he's simply not very good at it. his music & production is occasionally stunning though.
