John Matrix is a jewel in the rough
Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell I and II always remind me of being squashed in the back of a Fiat Panda when I was younger.

Also one of my very first memories is of my mum listening to songs like Crazy by Seal and Losing My Religion by R.E.M. on the radio while exercising. I must have been about 4-5 at the time.

Where did I read about Neil Peart listening to all his albums in chronological order to see what memories came back?

Don MacLeans 'American Pie' album and The Shadows "String of Hits" (in particular "Riders in the Sky") and to an equal degree the Sky - Best Of" albums all take me back to making model cars with my father when I was 6 or 7. We'd start after tea on the dining table under the poky light, and I'd put on the music while he got all the parts out.

Good times...

This album takes me back to my senior year of highschool, cranking it in my car so loud i blew out a speaker.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Memories of a wide-eyed little boy glued to the TV watching Cozy Powell play and proudly proclaiming "Mum, I'm going to be a drummer!"

"Listen closely to me now, my darlin' girl...
There's one who's out to have you, and just his breath will burn your curls..."

deguello666 has a spectacular aura about
Emmylou Harris's take on "two more bottles of wine" reminds me of when I was a wee 5 yr old sitting at the top of the stairs supposedly in bed asleep, listening to my folks rehearse with their band in the living room .... Man they rocked...

(Wonder why I was never allowed to sit in the room with them), I think they must have known I was sat up there all night, quick exit back into my bedroom to avoid toilet users hehe

I hear that song and I'm automatically back to 8th grade. I swear, that song would come on the radio almost everyday after school on the way home for quite a while, and I loved it every time.

So, what songs and memories do you have running together?
I have a lot of memories of this song too (haunting song; was my favorite at one point). In fact, I was just listening to Audioslave.

For me, "Blowin' Free" by Wishbone Ash and Neil Young's "Sugar Mountain" do this; my father used to play these a lot when I was little.

And pretty much any of U2's 80's hits take me back to 4th grade, when I was first getting into music.

The only creative accounting I have seen is Bush's plan to balance the budget by 2015.
Unless, of course, he plans on skyrocketing the debt at such a rate to approach infinity on an
asymptote, causing a giant budget calculator divide by zero error that reboots the country.

Time is the death and the healing. Take your last breath, 'cause death is deceiving.
Time is the past, now and tomorrow. Days fly so fast and it leaves me so hollow.

Haha, no problem. I do what I can.

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit
And it's filled with people who are filled with shit
And the vermin of the world inhabit it
But not for long ...
