this has gotten way out of hand...i'm just recording shit in my basement...my band had never even played a show when that song was written....we've all been a little "too infuenced" by other riffs and not realized it until later...unfortunetly in bulb's case the song was already mastered--i felt so weird about it that i e-mailed him as soon as i realized it...there was a miscummunication there that's causing paranoia now...bulb seems to remember me saying something else...

I listen to alot of polymetric metal---sorry i couldn't put my finger on 'that one bulb riff" until it was too late--my computer is a piece of shit---have have to bounce things down alot...i'll take the song down if it makes you guys happy---didn't think it was that big of a deal--and neither does misha from the sound of it...

in this case though--i hadn't even heard that shit before...elements?...i "stole" that idea from textures...but since no one on this forum seems to have noticed that yet--i must have done a decent job of DOING SOMETHING NEW with an idea...sounds like maybe 'elements' liked that textures riff too...i'd be tempted to ask...

the way i see it when you've got a bunch of people making polymetric metal with DFH who all listen to bands like textures, meshuggah and tool you're going to run into alot of similarities...

its just as upsetting to me when i realize i didn't create something i thought i did...its like finding out you're not the father of your child--but not as bad hehe.

okay so now you're probably all going to bombard me with negative comments that consist of "douchbag", "twat", "cunt"...things of this sort...
i just want to say don't forget to include something about what an asshole i am for not going back and changing one riff in a 12 minute song...if you saw what that multitrack file looked like---you wouldn't either....SORRY!

The fact that you're admitting to ripping off ANYONE doesn't help you much.

And don't act like it's such a big deal to change a part of a song, I do it all of the time. Sure, it's a bitch, but it's not like it's this impossible feat.

if you did accidently ripp of the guys riff, changing the end of the song seems to be the proper thing to do. i thought the song was good, but to see and hear this makes no sense.

I really like your music, it's a shame this has happened, because i'm pretty sure a bunch of guys on this forum and fans of Periphery, textures etc. would have bought your stuff if it hadn't...now i'm not so sure.
