"Nostradamus" (Judas Priest Content)

Courtesy of BlabberMouth.Net:
Quote:
Think "double vinyl, gatefold sleeve concept album," and some of rock’s all-time classic recordings come to mind. But in the realm of heavy metal, there has never been a double vinyl (now disc!) concept album that has managed to balance a thought-provoking storyline with metallic thunder. That was, until now.

Metal legends JUDAS PRIEST will be releasing their sprawling double disc concept album, "Nostradamus" via Columbia Records on Monday, June 16 in Europe, and a day later in the U.S. on Epic Records.

Long in the works, "Nostradamus" takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th century French prophet.

Some of the events that Nostradamus experts have interpreted as his predictions include the great fire of London in 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and most recently, 9-11, among countless other renowned events.

"As in any concept piece, the lifeline needs to be of a solid source, taking the music over many levels of interest and perception," points out singer Rob Halford. "'Nostradamus' contains new frontiers explored and defined. The sense of adventure and the journey we undertook bringing the man’s life alive with metal was a real labour of love."

As with all new PRIEST releases, the group — singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis — will embark on a mammoth worldwide tour in support of "Nostradamus".
BLABBERMOUTH.NET - JUDAS PRIEST: 'Nostradamus' Title Track To Be Released Monday

I can't WAIT to hear this stuff. I have a feeling it's gonna be mind blowing. I LOVE "Angel of Retribution". Totally ready to get a new Priest album, let alone a double disc concept album!!! :evil And of course that tour they're talking about is pretty exciting.

Dark clouds in your heaven.
Your end has only begun.
You can scream but there's no rescue,
I promise I'll make you sure that you die in time.

Can't wait.In fact, I actually wrote a joke version of what I believe the title track is going to sound like. I hope I'm right, it's pretty metal sounding. I actually did the same thing for Testaments new disc, although I was wrong (Hey, I'm no Nostradamus).

Chours #1

"Nostradamus come and save us
from our history of crime
you can save us, Nostradamus
you know the place, you know the time"

or another variation

Chours #2

"Nostradamus come and save us
from this evil human race
you can save us, Nostradamus
you know the time, you know the place"

I'm a fuckin hardcore fan budday

T'was tartar killed the beast.

I worry that this might veer off into Spinal Tap territory. Priest is usually at their best playing kickass, straight-ahead metal.

See my lyrics? I'm more of a 70's preist fan myself, but let's hope they can still "deliver the goods"

@ the lyrics.

I'm pretty sure Priest will do the album well. I don't think any Spinal Tap-esque material will come of this. I have high hopes, but how can't I? We're talking about metal legends here. They won't disappoint. I believe in them

This is probably this year´s most anticipated record for me.

I fuckin LOVE Angel of Retribution. I think it´s a 10/10 album, excellent stuff, they sure won´t disappoint anyone. Even if the lyrics are kinda cheesy, screw it, Rob is going to deliver!

+434834!!!!

Rob Halford is the fucking man. Not too many great duos like K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton these days either. All of the band members are LEGENDS!

As long as it's not an album full of "Loch Ness" it should be fine...
