Best album purchase in awhile.
![]() This album fucking smokes. I love their singer, and while I like their newer one, this album Eclipse blows silent waters out of the park. The production quality is just phenomenal, on par with Devin Townsend releases Here's the single... man, I'm so glad these guys aren't death metal anymore. I love this music. ![]() |

I just recently picked up that CD as well and really loved it. I'll make a small contribution of the other single for that album.

Big Amorphis fan here, I love all of their stuff, their new singer is probably the best they've had. Pasi has a great voice (his death metal vox are excellent as well) but I think Tomi Joutsens style fits much better as he's kind of a blend of original singer/founder/guitar player Tomi Koivusaari and Pasi's voices.
BTW, Silent Waters is the newest album and it has Tomi Joutsen on it, who was also on Eclipse, both albums rule. |

Yup, this album rules. I'm listening to "Empty Opening" right now, which is a bloody awesome song.

Amorphis kicks major ass. Those guys and Sentenced were my favorite finnish bands at one point. \m/

The advantages are they can sing you songs while you're having intercourse. Imagine a round of "row row row your boat" while you're plowing the shit out of her skull." -JJ Rodriguez |

i think i liked Amorphis better when they weren't trying to be Sentenced. Tuonela is fucking awesome, and Elegy's pretty sweet, too. haven't heard a whole lot of newer stuff though. saw them in 2001 with Opeth, and looking forward to seeing them again in september at ProgPower USA.

Elegy is my favorite by them, but "Tales" was the first album I got by them.
I still need to get Tuonela and Am Universum |

I'm surprised so few like "Tales" I really love how doomy that album is, and I love the gravely character of Tomi K's voice.
If anyone has heard Waltaris "Yeah! Yeah! Die! Die!" he did the death vox on that ![]() |
