I really, just really want to know what's with the drums.

I mean, what the hell, seriously? Here is a sample of the clip.

It starts out beautifully. I kind of like the whole thing, but it's getting a little over the technical leaps for me. The drums are so fucking...bad and weird. It could be me...

I feel bad for bashing it since I can't hold a match to Arsis' torch of greatness, but still...what happened?

The drum sounds aren't great, and the snare sounds very uneven with the kick; the kicks are definately triggered. I agree, they don't sound amazing, but they aren't terrible either.

I preordered mine but still haven't gotten in yet. I didn't notice anything wrong with the drums on their myspace page. But then again, I haven't gotten to hear it on a better sound system straight off the cd.

I think is what they've done is create an album that can't fully be grasped by some humans, its just that transcendental.
