Tony Iommi. I wanted to be like him for the longest time

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

FYP666 is a jewel in the rough
Michael Amott from Arch Enemy. His style using wide vibrations and wah pedal, and, of course, the leads. He has written many good songs and i've been hooked to Arch Enemy as far as i remember.

John Kempainen from The Black Dahlia Murder. Since i got Miasma album i've been hooked. He uses a lot of traditional tremolo picking and almost no sweeping and tapping. And he has Finnish last name

Playlist 24.12.07:

1. Amoral - Nervasion
2. Thine Eyes Bleed - Corpse You Up
3. Profane Omen - Breed Suffocation, Breed Extinction
4. The Black Dahlia Murder - Everything Went Black
5. Necrophagist - Diminished to B

Playlist 24.7.08:

1. Periphery - Eureka
2. Hate Eternal - Bringer Of Storms
3. Opeth - Heir Apparent
4. Pantera - This Love
5. The Black Dahlia Murder - Deathmask Divine

Jerry Cantrell. He could (still can) play with a bit of flash, but is primarily a songwriter as much influenced by Elton John and Lindsay Buckingham as Tony Iommi.

And fuck anyone who doesn't think the riffs in "Them Bones" or "We Die Young" don't rule

Good call.

That solo in "Purple Rain" rules hard man... don't matter how simple it may be.

Go to 3:38 for it...

lucasreis is a jewel in the rough
I wanted to be a bassist, at first, but then I switched to the guitar.

It was in 1991, Guns´n´Roses was still huge and the Grunge stuff was picking up. For me it was Slash in the beggining, although I don´t really identify with him nowadays I realize the importance he had for me and for a lot of people at the time.

Slash started it, but Jerry Cantrell came next, and I´m still a HUGE fan.

Jimmy page made me want to pick up a guitar.
Eddie Van halen made me want to get as good a s I could.
Van halen really hooked me into wanting to do nothing but play all day.

Can I be the devil on your shoulder?
