Sounds like they should have done that a long time ago. I think most bands have a natural lifespan.

i say good riddance....but if it wasn't for Kotipelto, i might have liked them. i just find Kotipelto's voice to be extremely irritating most of the time. vastly overrated singer.

Yeah, as much as I love Stratovarius, I think it was about time they all moved on.

Here's hoping a new band or two come out of this.

It's sad, but it sounds like it was the right decision judging by that press release.

i'll admit i enjoy the odd song or two from them, but i've never really understood their popularity... this band has always been as generic and predictable as they come.

I found them catchy most of the time, despite being pretty generic.

Guess I'm too much of a power metal fanboy.
