'Close to the Edge' was the first serious prog album I ever brought. I used to listen to it all the way through every night for a long while.

Believe it or not, hearing Steve Howe on his big Gibson archtop was one of the things that made me check out jazz for the first time.

I love 'Fragile' as well, if only for Howe and Squire's solo pieces.

Close To The Edge is such a wicked album, probably my favourite but I haven't decided yet. I remember one of my feeble friends telling me how I'd been ripped off because the album only had three tracks. I was in such a shock that the only response that was suitable was to flex at him and deem him false.

'Fragile' is a favourite of mine; it has 'Heart of the Sunrise', which is such a favourite of mine, and 'Five Per Cent of Nothing', which is sort of indicative of Bruford's solo work, which was also amazing.

Have you heard 'Relayer'? It doesn't have Rick Wakeman on it, but I still reckon it's one of their best. Very jazzy-sounding for Yes IMO.

Relayer is probably one of my favorite Yes albums. Gates of Delirium is 70's prog at it's finest.

One of their most overlooked albums is "Going For The One". Don't know why that is. Awaken is such a great track. Everyone seems to focus on the Fragile/Close To the Edge albums, or 90125. I also liked "Talk" a bit. That's another one that seems to always be under the radar. It's probably my favorite of all the Trevor Rabin (aka "Yes West") lineup cd's. But I find that quite a few Yes fans never even bothered giving it a listen.

I'm a huge fan, have all their albums, and have seen them in concert numerous times since 1989. A Yes concert is like nothing else.

The Yes Album is my favorite, Starship Trooper rocks! I think side two is much better than side one, but since side one has "I've seen all good people" it gets eclipsed.

Yes, Scorpions, and Dream Theater are my favorite bands...but I knew of Yes way before I knew of the other two.

I toured with Yes for two weeks doing tour promo for them on their '98 tour. I'll never look at the band the same way again... bunch of divas...

I´m not a big fan of Jon Anderson but Yes has some cool tunes.

One of my favorite bass riffs ever is Roundabout, gotta love the tone of it!!

Also, Wakeman rules, and I saw his son two days ago playing with Ozzy. It´s a blood thing, for sure!

I guess if you've been in a band for 40 years and released countless albums then you can afford to take certain personality liberties
